Office (optional)
Council (optional)
Below each phase is described in detail.
Application
You apply to The Eye by filling out the membership application form. Soon afterwards you will be contacted by a member of the Recruiting Department. You will meet with a recruiter in-game who will ask you some questions for example about your preferences and answer all of yours.
Probationary Period
After the application there is a probationary period of up to 60 days. In this period we can get to know each other and give you a better insight into the organization. During the probationary period you will attend an introduction session with a recruiter in which the organization, its structure, the departments and our rescue services are presented to you. Afterwards you will get introductions to each individual department and its typical activities by a department representative. During the probationary period you should try to engage with our members and attend official events or rescue task forces. Ask questions, interact and have fun.
Mentor
All members become a disciple of a mentor member. Your personal mentor is you permanent confidant and teaches as well as supports you. As you meet members during the probationary period see who is available to be your mentor and get to know them. If you don't find someone until the end of the probationary period don't worry we will help you.
Department
After you have received the introduction to the departments you can experience first hand what it's like to be part of a department of your choice by following a member for a day (or more). You will observe and assist this member and thereby learn how things are done. Try to find out which department fits best to you and that you want to become part of.
Induction
Then the time has come for you to become a full member of The Eye and be inducted.
Before induction into the organization as a full member you must fulfill the following requirements:
The applicant must successfully interview with a recruiter
The applicant must serve a probationary period of up to 60 days
The applicant must participate in an introduction session with a recruiter
The applicant must participate in introductions to each department with a department representative
The applicant must have attended at least 4 official events or rescue task forces
The applicant must have found a mentor member
The applicant must have chosen a department to join
The applicant must not have violated any of the rules, policies or bylaws of the organization
A recruiter will officially induct you in the Meeting Hall of Wehnimer's Landing. Often the induction of new members will be announced and celebrated during member meetings.
Training
Depending on the department you have chosen you will assume a associated role. You will join a training program in which fellow department members will teach you and you learn the ropes of your role.
Ranks
The organization is merit-based. The more you contributes to the organization the higher your rank will be. The higher the rank of a member is the more he/she is able to influence decision-making and other processes within the organization as well as being eligible to assume an office within the organization.
You can become a mentor of a new member and come full circle right back where you started but now you are on the other side. Being a mentor gives you the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a curious new member. Share your wisdom and teach what you have learned. Help The Eye to grow and become better.
Office
You can apply for an office such as a consultant. An office in The Eye gives you the possibility to directly influence and shape the organization. Reach out to the Council and propose a field where you would like to help or ask what positions are open.
Council
You can run for a Council office in an election. The Council is the executive committee of The Eye and is in charge of steering the organization. Becoming a Council member is a privilege and honor. Immortalize yourself by getting closer to or reaching long-term objectives of The Eye.
